Affirmations and Self Reflection

SAY THIS DAILY AFFIRMATION:

Change is the only constant in life. even the seasons change. As the seasons change, so do some trees. These trees grow new leaves in spring, and lose them in the fall. Just like the trees experience change with the seasons, so do I. There are different seasons of life. I accept change. It is something that none of us can escape. It's a given. It is as sure as death and taxes, but one thing about it is very different – I choose to see change as a positive thing in my life. Not to do so means stagnation. Change means that I am alive, and I am experiencing life.

My attitude is most important to handling change. When change happens, it may not feel positive initially. However, I believe that there is always a good reason that things happen. That is why when change happens, I always find the positive things about the situation. In fact, I embrace change. Sometimes, I do not wait for change to come to me. Instead, I make change happen. I do not allow it to cause me anxiety. I accept that change is part of life, and it can be exciting. Without change, life becomes boring. Change keeps my life interesting, free of monotony, and full of new adventures. That is why I welcome it with open arms. I love it. It gives me a reason to get up in the morning. By accepting change and what comes with it, I use my energy for positive things. Change is the only constant in life, and I accept the good things that come from change.

Self-reflection questions:

1. What are some examples of change that initially caused me anxiety in the past, but ended up being positive things in my life in the end?

2. What kinds of positive things have I experienced in my life that were due to change?

3. When change happens, how can I welcome it with open arms?

SAY THIS DAILY AFFIRMATION:

The only difference between a good day and a bad day is my attitude. Attitude is everything in life. It is everything in my life. If I have a bad attitude, I get bad results. However, I choose to have a good attitude. With my positive attitude, all I get and expect is good results. It is really that simple. What I think, and how I behave, influence my life. When I have a good attitude, others around me are more receptive to me. They want to be around me. They go out of their way to be of assistance when I need help with something. They want to talk to me, and I make good friends, because I am like sunshine in the lives of others. Just as I want to be the person with a good attitude, I only want to be around people with a good attitude too. After all, no one wants to be around people with a negative attitude. When I am around people with a good attitude, I feel uplifted. I smile more. I laugh more. This is a good stress reliever. I also experience little to no fear or anxious feelings. In fact, I feel like I can do anything when my attitude is right. My positivity shines through, and I experience much more success. The only difference between a good day and a bad day is my attitude.
